What’s all the hype about Hiit?

We all know that exercise is important to looking good, feeling healthy and performing at our best.  But finding the time and energy to get off the couch and get moving isn’t always easy when you’re usually exhausted from the stresses of a busy lifestyle.

Enter Hiit – high intensity interval training – an opportunity to maximise the benefits in the quickest possible time.  Short bursts of exercise alternated with rests allows you to work at a higher intensity than you would on a longer duration exercise, increasing your heart rate and your ability to burn fat.

Despite the fancy name, there is nothing complex about Hiit –  you can simply run outside, alternating between sprinting and walking, using trees as markers.

But why Hiit?

So it’s short and effective, but how will it benefit me?  Well, scientific studies have shown HIIT training to be more effective than longer duration aerobic training in terms of improving:

  • aerobic and anaerobic fitness
  • blood pressure and cardiovascular health
  • insulin sensitivity (and improved glucose uptake)
  • abdominal and body fat loss, while maintaining muscle mass.

So far, so good – but if the thought of running outside on the dark cold mornings fills you with horror or you’re looking for something a bit more structured than running from tree to tree, then why not try our Hiit program?

Is this program for me?

This program is structured to offer you much more than simply getting fitter, faster and leaner… you can expect

  • Simple movements that anybody can do
  • Small group sizes (<12) and experienced coaches, who know you and how your body moves
  • Better core strength, flexibility and posture
  • Improved strength gains
  • Movements designed to iron out the muscle imbalances we typically see, for example from sitting at a desk or repetitive sports

And our program is 100% measurable, so you can track your progress!

Getting Started…

But don’t take our word for it… come and try one of our 30-40 minute classes for free!

Choose from two convenient timeslots, either before work at

6am on Tuesday and Thursday

Or just after school drop-off (with free babysitting), at

9.30am on Monday and Wednesday

And to optimise results, squeeze in a third session on

Saturdays at 7am

Just do it…

There are no tape measures here and no minimum level of fitness needed.  Whether you’re struggling to get off the couch or training for your next iron man, this program will challenge you at a suitable and safe level for you.

All you need to bring is consistency.  Commit to your two or three sessions a week and make a promise to yourself to attend those same sessions every week.   No matter where you start, your consistency will pay off and you will see your numbers go up as you get fitter, stronger and find more energy.
