Get Moving!

Now if you’ve been watching youtube, you probably think CrossFit is just for (slightly insane) uber athletes. But the CrossFit methodology can be applied to ANY level of fitness i.e.

  • constantly varying (to encompass your body’s wide ranging capabilities)
  • high intensity (at a level that suits you, not anybody else)
  • functional movement (stuff that makes you better at life)

Every one of our workouts is tailored to suit all levels in the room, so that you progress at the right pace for YOU.  An experienced and supportive coach will guide and instruct you every step of the way, not push you to the max before you are ready.  That’s how we keep this style of training effective, safe and fun!

Small Group Training

Most of our members love the motivation they get from working out with friends and this is what sets CrossFit apart from other training methods.  It’s not the intensity or variety of our training or even our emphasis on correct technique that sets us apart – many other programs also offer this.

What makes CrossFit Carnegie so special is all of that, but also how quickly you become part of a community of like-minded individuals – ordinary people doing extraordinary things. In a short time, you will be rearranging your schedule around exercise, not dragging yourself off the couch because you feel you should!

Our Basics Program

We know walking into a CrossFit gym could be pretty intimidating and so we have designed a flexible introductory program to suit any level of fitness or experience:

  1. Attend a free trial session to see how you like it!
  2. Jump into our Basics program – where you focus on technique and learning over your first 3 – 4 weeks.  You’ll have plenty of time to learn where and what everything is, how to modify movements to progress without injury and also meet other newbys.  And when you are ready…
  3. Move into our mainstream CrossFit program, where you can apply everything you have learnt in basics and continue to build on your skills, strength and fitness at a rate that suits you.

CROSSFIT

Personal Training

We understand that sometimes you just need to work out on your own. Perhaps you have an busy schedule and need flexible training times, perhaps you want to spend a bit more time getting the basics under control or want a program designed around injury rehabilitation or sports specific training. It might be that you just don’t yet feel comfortable training with other people and so we also offer individual personal training with one of our lovely personal trainers.

Individualised to your needs, personal training is finally all about you, whatever your specific needs!

Yoga

We also run a weekly yoga class, one evening and one after drop off time slots. While our yoga class is more calming in nature and designed primarily to supplement a tough exercise regime, we do have yoga only members who love their once a week yogic fix.

This casual and easygoing class is a mix of mobility, stretching, core strengthening, balance and an awesome relaxation at the end that really sets you up for the rest of the week.

Enjoy improved muscle strength, release of muscle tightness, increased flexibility, restored nervous system, improved breathing, non restrictive postures, better organ functioning and a far healthier and happier attitude to life.

Free Babysitting

We know how hard it is to juggle children, work and life… your health ends up coming last and so we’ve found a solution for you!

With free babysitting at our 9.30am training sessions on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, you can at last start to get back in shape!  Babies and toddlers are looked after within sight of where you train, so you are there if they need you, but you can also get on with taking care of yourself, confident in the knowledge that somebody else is taking care of baby for you.
